Great Sphinx Of Egypt : According to the  study, “Geological side  of the complication  of Dating the Great Sphinx Construction,” the Egypt  Sphinx may be approximately 800,000 years old.

According to Archaeologists :

John Anthony West, a writer and alternative Egyptologist, challenged the accepted age of the monument when he noted vertical weathering at its base, which could only have been caused by prolonged exposure to water in the form of heavy rains. It rains! in the middle of the desert? Where did the water come from?

It so happens that such rainfall occurred in this area of ​​the world – about 8,000-10,500 years ago! This would make the Sphinx more than double its currently accepted age. On the other hand, author Robert Bauval, who is perhaps best known for the Orion correlation theory of the Giza pyramid complex, and his colleague Graham Hancock have calculated that the Great Pyramid (Sphinx) similarly dates to around 10,500 BC.

Many archaeologists are supporting this theory, called “rainfall-induced weathering”, and this view suggests that the last time there was enough rainfall in the region, this pattern of rain erosion which is the  process in which earthen materials are worn away and transported by natural forces such as wind or water on the limestone occurred about 9,000 years ago. Which means 7000 BC.

A geologist and associate professor of natural sciences in the College of General Studies at Boston University, Robert M. Schoch noted that weathering induced by heavy rainfall similar to that seen on the walls of the Sphinx’s enclosure is also found on the core blocks. Both the Sphinx and the Valley Temple are known to have originated from blocks taken from the Great Sphinx’s enclosure when the body was carved.
