Harpriya Bains’s Career

Talking about her career, according to some sources, She had a career of 39 years as a Stand-Up Comedian. That too because no one used to listen to her at her home, due to which she thought that she would find such people who would listen to me. Sometimes She used to feel that this is the crisis of her middle life. Only then did She start a career as a stand-up comedian.

She don’t know what happened to her at that time, she was living in Goa. Where She spent 2 years and started watching various stand-up comedians shows. Then she felt that she should do it because during college days She felt very comfortable doing theater and emceeing.

Once She went to see Amit Tandon’s show with my parents, when the show was over, my mother told me that “when you are in a good mood, you can also do something like this”. But then She did not understand what good mood means.

After that She went to Secunderabad where Open Mic was going on. Where She also make her script and performed, which was evident from the audience that how happy they were. She knew that She would get a call. She Was big Age and her gray hair worked on her to, the audience also felt that what She is  saying is true.

When She was asked how She chose the genre of comedy, She replied:

I started working on Basically “Observation”. I notice a lot of stand-up comedians who are quite famous but if they ever talk about marriage and relationship then only from man’s point of view. Which were very stuffy as well as funny. Some women comedians used to have problems talking about marriage because they used to speak openly about boyfriend, career, mensuration, gender BSS. That’s why I thought I would tell about the life of an average housewife and mother, the multi-tasking, daily challenges, plethora of emotions and lots of comedy she faces.

Since then I started telling about Daily Relationships, in which I used to do comedy and bit of satire on relationship challenges. Because somewhere or other the audience found it relatable, when I used to understand them in comic style, then they used to feel comfortable. Which looked from a different point of view and released a bit of frustration.

After this when she was asked whether she feels like a celebrity: –

To which she laughed and said that no, I haven’t felt like a celebrity yet, but when I used to go to malls and restaurants, the audience approached me a lot. And told that how much they like to watch my show, due to which my confidence used to be boosted. Well, it was a different matter that till now I had not distorted my authentic self for the approval of the audience.

Talking about the reaction of her family She Said that:-

Her parents were making her very proud, along with this, her daughter and husband are also very happy about her work, even her daughter, she is proud that my mother makes everyone laugh.

This is her natural power. When she would come home, her daughter and husband would approach her asking whether the show went on, people participated or not? Even my elder daughter takes commission from me, from my earnings to borrow one cleaners which she tells me after noticing typical teenage tantrums which you must have seen in my shows also. Her husband takes her joke straight as he knows that what the wife is saying is true and based on real life. He has always been a good watcher for his wife.

When it was reached to her that you make everyone laugh, but who makes you laugh, then She said that :-

Her husband’s jokes and her daughter’s straight face on one cleaners are enough to make her laugh
