Let me tell you that he did B.Tech. After completing his graduation, he started his career as a software engineer from Samsung Research Institute, Noida, Uttar Pradesh. While working here, he met a stand-up comedian through a friend. After that he started working in Gurgaon based Sapient (American IT company) as Senior Associate from April 2005 to January 2018.
As a Stand-Up Comedian
He had a lot of attachment since childhood to make people laugh and often used to organize gatherings in his school group as well. Because of which he used to watch and listen to videos of famous stand-up comedians like Bhagwant Main and Johnny Lever. He also wrote in Someone’s Slam Book that he wanted to become a comedian when he was in 6th grade.
While he was at Sapient, he started attending various open mics. After that, by the year 2020, he had performed in about 700+ shows and more than 60 cities, as well as in Vietnam, The USA, U.A.E, Australia, Qatar and The United Kingdom. Along with this, “Tu Toh Chup Hi Rah” and “Koi Load Nahi” which is his solo show but both of them sold 23k tickets in one go.
During an interview, when he was asked about his favorite genre of comedy which he would like to perform, he told about it :-
I only like real life comedy. My only thought is that if I am saying something, then people need to believe that it can also be true. My only problem is that I cannot write fiction. All the jokes or stories I have told till date have some or the other connection with my life. So according to that there are two categories in it, Anecdoctal and Observational. So according to that my content is a mixture of both.
After that he also opened his own YouTube channel on which his first video was “Dad, Saving Aur Milk” which was Anticipati’s video which crossed more than 1 lakh views that means he is very good in his corporate shows. In that single video, he made him famous overnight because that video had gone viral. After which that video has got more than 10 million views on YouTube.
Jaspreet also started doing podcasts, one of which is “Thoda chill thoda chill” which is also available on Gaana App. Apart from this, he also has his own YouTube title called “Jassi Doesn’t Write IT” where he talks about things he doesn’t like on the internet.
