Mexico : Archaeologists in Mexico have discovered human remains of an early ancestor of the Maya civilization that may be 7,000 years old.According to Mexican archaeologists, three sets of desecrated human remains were unearthed from the Puyil Cave in Tacotalpa , municipality of the state of Tabasco, located in southern Mexico.
A set reportedly known as the Pre-Classical Age of Civilization is also believed to be 7,000 years old. It is estimated that these other two skeletons are about 4,000 years old. These ancient Maya relics are on display at the capital’s Anthropology Museum for an exhibit titled Puyil: Cave of the Ancestors. All can view the remains as well as other artifacts discovered in the area, such as ceramics and jade pieces.
